Number Twenty-Two is an 8x10 pen and ink drawing, with pastel, charcoal, brush and water, of a Brooklyn street during the late afternoon with the sun going down, in winter. The buildings are in shadow, but the tree trunks and limbs stand out against the bright sky. A few piles of snow edge the sidewalk.
